Option A: the Georgia defense plays inspired football against Tech and shuts down the triple option. The Dawgs win 24-17. Willie Martinez stays.
Option B: the Georgia defense plays the same way against Tech that they did last year, only Matt Stafford isn't around to keep the game close. The Dawgs lose 45-24. Willie Martinez goes.
Which option do you choose?
(If I were a law professor, I would change the hypo after you answer "I'll take A" by making it a choice between the Georgia defense playing well in a close loss and the Georgia defense playing poorly in a blowout defeat, with the former leading to Martinez keeping his job and the latter leading to his discharge. Yay Socrates!)

A Sophie's Choisce situation here. I go with taking out the Bee's, getting rid of Martinez and then machine gunning the Germans....
I think Martinez is gone no matter how well the defense plays in the last two games. If Richt wanted Martinez back, he would have said so by now. I think Richt understands things have passed a tipping point and bringing Martinez back would endanger the entire coaching staff. And when things went bad, there would be a staff meltdown as assistants tried save their coaching credentials by pointing fingers.
Option A: The Hubris coming from North Avenue is thicker than 5 bean chili.
A humbling session is in order and a reminder of who is "little brother."
At the very least - it'll shut Steak Shapiro up for a week (hard to do).
55-52 UGA wins and the defense is porous. Richt let's him go and brings in Tubberville.
When are we going to get a post on the Hawks and their best record in the league?? Isn't this an Atlanta sports blog??
I've got a question. How can a blog that calls itself the "Atlanta Sports Blog" have virtually no mention of a 10-1 Georgia Tech team during its best season in two decades? Just sayin'.
This is a lost season. The only positive outcome is Willie's departure.
I'm still stunned we beat Auburn.
Love the blog Michael, keep it up!
The Grateful Dead used to sing a song called "He's Gone". I dedicate it to Willie.
Don't the Dead also cover "It's All Over Now, Baby Blue?" I just assume that because they seemed to cover everything that Dylan wrote.
