I don't know whether this is authentic or just the musings of a SigEp with surprising ability to form complete sentences, but I found it funny. (And yes, as a GDI, I am queasy linking to something called TheFratPack.com.) If the actual movie would have stayed more with the rules instead of devolving into Owen Wilson making googlie eyes at Rachel McAdams for an hour, then it would have reached its potential instead of being a funny, but non-classic movie. Of course, that didn't stop me from buying it, but there is that saying about a fool and his money.
And speaking of movies, I've rented Crash and the wife and I are planning on seeing Munich this weekend, so by next week, I will be able to comment intelligently on all five of the Best Picture nominees. And yes, that means I've seen Brokeback Mountain. And yes, I did think it was a good movie. And yes, I did defend its merits yesterday to my quite-gay hair stylist, who didn't like it. And yes, I have a hair stylist. "You guys aren't from here, you're from out East, you don't know what it's like." "You're from Anaheim."
